Little Witch Academia is an anime movie that is only about 30 minutes long. This cute movie is about a little girl named Akko who wished to be like her role model-- Shiny Chariot, a well-known witch performer. Akko is an underdog at her new witch school, Little Witch Academy, where they are taught about the history of witches and some witch magic. When they have a small dungeon expedition in their basement, she manages to find Shiny Chariot's lost magic wand. While this is happening, however, a stuck-up, over-confident witch accidentally releases a dragon that grows from magical power outside of the dungeon. The dragon targets The Sorcerers' Stone, full of power, at the top of their school's tower. Akko, who can barely fly a broom, tries to help as much as possible with renewed confidence. Will these little witches stop this powerful dragon from gaining the power of the Sorcerers' Stone?
This movie was beautifully animated, amusing, and inspirational. Though it is such a small movie, the characters are lovable. One may think that this is a kid's movie, but there is a small slightly disturbing scene for children (blood). It is overall an adorable and enjoyable anime movie.
