J Cole New Album

OHHHHH BOY let me tell you about this hot fire that J Cole just dropped. The new album is called 4 your eyez only and I have to say its pretty great. Usually rappers only rap about sex, drugs, and or money but J Cole rapped about his life and something that is important in life. That is what real rap is instead of these rappers these days that just talk about killing, sex and money which is stupid. J Cole is also the only rapper to have a album with no features go double platinum which is really good. The album's cover artwork was created by Anthony Supreme, who is a photographer and a fan of Cole's. The photo that forms the basis of the cover was shot in an Atlanta neighborhood in September 2016.4 Your Eyez Only is the fourth studio album by American hip hop recording artist J. Cole. Fast 8

SOOOOOO I'm so amazed right now and its been the best night ever. The trailer for Fast 8 has been released and I'm so happy ive seen the previous fast and the furious movies like eight to ten times each. Fast and the furious has a lot of series to it its a very good movie and has a very good storyline. In the previous making of fast 7 one of their main characters died in the making. Paul Walker was the guy that recently died in the last film which was very sad because he was one of the major characters of the movie. A lot of people don't really like the movie because all they do is race cars. Even though they might only race they have a enemy in each movie or at least they have a lot of action in the movie I really think that this is the best series ever because even when one of your main characters died they still made a 8th one.

TheOffice

I know everyone in this class has at least seen 5 minutes to a whole episode of The Office. The office is my favorite Television show because it literally is the best show ever. It basically is trying to depict what a real office is like but It cant because when you work at an office you have a boss who actually does work and not just sit and be lazy. The series depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.  The funny thing is that this is not your ordinary office, the people that work in this office are crazy. Sometimes in this office you have people who play jokes on one another and just don’t care what they do or about their jobs. The boss of this company is very lazy and does not really care about the job or what the workers do. One episode he had a very big staff meeting about racism and he literally told the workers to put a race on their back and then treat that person as if their the race that’s taped to them of course everything about that is wrong

Moana

So recently I just seen the movie Moana and I have to say that its really good and if you haven’t seen it I advise you to actually see it. Moana is now up in my top 5 picks for Disney productions. Moana is a animated film about a spirited teenager who sails out on a mission that is very daring. She only wanted to do this mission because she wanted to prove herself a master wayfinder, she also wanted fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her daring journey she meets a demi-god who’s name Maui. Together, they went to travel the open ocean on an action packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds. I think this movie is great because Disney went out the way to use a different culture in and animated film I haven’t seen that many films that Disney produced using a different culture. As much as I love the movies Tangled and Frozen Moana really tops them both. Moana has an amazing storyline which like I said pays a good tribute to the Polynesian Culture. Lastly, I like this film because for once Disney started making movies that do not involve princesses which is great.

Sing

I was searching online for some movies to write about when I saw a film that comes out on Christmas day called sing. Sing is another animated film by Illumination, I can’t wait for this movie to be released because it looks like it’s going to be really good which I’m really excited about. Even though sing is and animation film it’s supposed to be a drama film/Musical. Sing is basically a bunch of animals singing. A koala named buster has one last final chance to save his theatre and get it back to its former glory by producing the world’s greatest singing competition. I think this movie is going to be hilarious because its about a bunch of singing animals. I also seen the preview of the movie which was great by the way. The preview showed a gorilla wanting to sing but he was afraid to because his dad was in a mob and would not approve. One evening the Gorilla’s dad had planned a Robbery or something and he missed the part of the mission he was supposed to do. The gorilla missed it because instead of focusing on the robbery he was at the theatre auditioning so he could be in this showcase.

Storks

So the other day I watched the animated film called storks. Storks is an animated film that has storks in it who delivered babies and now they just deliver packages. But then they receive a piece of mail requesting that they build a new baby. Then the stork tries to hurry up and stop the machine so he wont get in trouble because he wants to try and become boss and he knows that if his boss see this baby he will not get the boss position. This whole thing started because of a kid whose parents didn’t spend time with him so he was the one that sent this message and made them have the big mistake of making the baby. I love this movie because when we asked our parents where did babies come from they always use to say the stork. Now they have a movie that actually portrays the thing that they said which makes me laugh. Now when children ask their parents where do babies come they can say storks and show them this really great movie called STORKS.

A Christmas Carol

My other all-time favorite Christmas Movie is A Christmas Carol. That is another movie with an ending that changes someone mind about how he thinks about Christmas. A Christmas Carol has a main character named scrooge. Scrooge hated everything that had to do with Christmas. A Christmas Carol is and animated film retelling of the classic novel that Charles Dickens wrote. Ebenezer Scrooge is awakened on Christmas eve by some spirits who tell him about his own miserable existence. They also tell Scrooge how he grew up with his own story of growing up being bitter and mean and must decide what he wants for the future. The first ghost Scrooge encountered was the ghost of Christmas past who shows scrooge that he was once a happy young man, carefree and in love but money became his greatest desire. Scrooge also lost his partner Marley on Christmas eve, which played a big role in why he hated everything that had to do with Christmas. Scrooge also was very mean to his employee Bob Cratchit, so the ghost of Christmas past also shows him the poor situation that Bob and his family are in. Later in the movie Scrooge becomes a good man who knows how to celebrate Christmas.

The Polar Express

The polar express is by far one of my favorite Christmas movies to watch. Christmas would not be Christmas if my family did not start it off by watching The Polar Express. I like the polar express because it’s one of them movies where you can get your family together and all watch. The Polar express is just an all-around great movie because you had this little boy who don’t really believe in Santa Claus, he then takes this ride to the north pole and goes on a journey that shows him reasons to believe. It also shows him that if you just believe that life would never fade away. I also think that the movies promotes great symbolism for both children and adults, because like I said it shows them that if you just believe life won’t fade away. During this journey to rekindle his beleifs in Santa Claus he met a lot of other children along the way even a hobo ghost. The whole movie this little boy could not hear the sound of a ringing bell because he didn’t have any faith, but towards the end of the movie he could finally hear the sound of the bell. I believe the movie is trying to tell us that instead of spreading Christmas joy to ourselves we should instead spread it around to other people

Semester's Ending

As the semester is coming to an end students are getting more and more stressed out. Finals are approaching us. Some of us are getting really nervous because we need/want to do good on the exams. The last two weeks are really important because this is the time you tell your friends its time for me to study for this exam. Trying to cram all the stuff you need to know for this exam the night before is not really healthy. For most of the freshman we aren't new to taking exams but we are new to taking college exams. College can be rough but we can get through it. During these last two weeks of this semester take the time out of your day to just pray that God directs you in the right path to pass the exams. If you don't understand something ask your professor before you leave that class session or go him/her and ask the office hours to go ask them to teach what you  don't understand a different way so you will understand. During this last two weeks of your first semester I wish you the best of luck and I will keep each and everyone of you guys in my prayers. With this said have a wonderful last two weeks and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Deadpool

The other day I finally got to watch the movie dead pool. The movie was really good in my opinion but I've heard people say opposite. I liked dead pool because there not that many comic based movies that make you laugh like that movie does. Dead pool was not just a funny movie but also an action movie. Ryan Reynolds is the actor that plays dead pool. I personally like all of Ryan movies this movie just moved to the top of my list. I like how in the beginning of the movie dead pool is this regular guy that's living a normal life until he finds out he has cancer. After he finds out that he has cancer he goes and does this little experiment where something goes wrong and half is face is messed up. Then he wants revenge to find the guy that did this to him, so he goes on this rampage to find this guy. In the process of trying  to find this guy these heroes wanted him to convert to their side but he liked being a badass. Towards the end of the movie he needs their help getting his wife from his enemy. The movie might seem like it sucks the way I described it but in all actuality its really good. This is a movie that I would watch over and over begin because it is hilarious.

Alice Program

When I was in high school I took a course named computer programming 3. The first couple weeks of school we learned how to use this program called Alice. Alice was a program that let you give computerized animations the ability to move. Working in Alice has showed me that making a computerized short film is not easy. Alice was basically a program that made you think, in order to get your animation to do the right thing you had to code it properly. An Alice project usually took a animator two or three days to do depending on the project. People like me who aren't really interested in taking the time to learn this process it took a week. Working in Alice 3 has made me realize you really need have hard work and dedication to be able to make short story with animations. Our last final project for the class was to make a multiplayer game. That project took me the whole last three weeks of school but at the end of the day it was well worth it. I honestly respect the work that animators put in because it is a lot of work to do. Who knew that a the animation movies that animators make take so much time.

Is it over yet

Is it over yet. The election, I really want this election to be over. Not only has this election caused people to be nasty and ignorant towards one another, but this election has caused for people to lose friends, walk out from classes, and just be rude to one another. First of all let me get this out the way once again I'm not a trump supporter nor will I ever be. But just because I'm not a trump supporter and he won don't mean that I'm going to walk out of my classes and protest against it. No matter what the day is Donald Trump will be your president and their is nothing we can do about it but give him a chance and see what he does. Now I know Donald Trump is against minorities but who cares maybe God is putting him in office to get all the minorities to come together the right way and be close to one another. I just want for everyone to love one another for themselves because God put us on this earth to love one another not hate one another.

Donald Trump and Social Media

I know by know that everyone knows that Donald Trump has won the election and will be the next president of the United States. There are a few things that in my opinion that todays society need to work on. Being respectful of other people opinions is one. I woke up this morning people on social media losing saying that if you voted for trump you can just unfriend me, why say that when instead you should just respect that that person have different views than you. People are literally letting social media destroy friendships nowadays. I was always taught you cant argue an opinion because no one is going to win because its what both of you believe and not everyone has the same view for every situation. Personally I don't like Donald Trump because of the things he say's about women and the way he treats other people, but since he won the election all I can do is sit back and give him a chance because he's won already and we cant change that. We can believe that God has a reason for making him our next president, but what we can't do is let social media divide us but make us come together and unite and make the country a better place.

The Fault In Our Stars

The movie The Fault In Our Stars was not only a sad movie but eye opening. The movie really opened my eyes because it teaches you that you cant just take life for granted because you don't know what will happen to you in the life that you are given. Hazel Grace and Gus Waters are the two main characters in the movie. Hazel was born with cancer, one night she woke in the middle of her sleep choking and she almost died because her lungs would fill up with fluid. Hazel then joined this group session with other people with cancer and that's where she met Gus. Gus also had cancer and had one of his limbs removed. Hazel and Gus met and a few weeks later they were a thing and went to explore Amsterdam with one another. Towards the end of the movie Gus dies and it destroys Hazel but she stayed strong for him. Gus also left her a letter to read saying how much he loved her. This film just opens your eye to see that you don't know how much time you have with a person so make every time you spend with them count. It teaches you that you shouldn't argue over the little things but only let them go.

For the Birds

The other day in class we watched a short film called for the birds. The short film was put together by the company Pixar. This particular film was about a bird sitting on a telephone line. Once he sat on the line some other birds of his kind came over on the line to sit with him. They then realized that another bird was sitting on the line to but he was much bigger. The big bird then made room for himself in between the other bird which made them very mad because they were all squished. He then flip upside down which caused the line to form like a slingshot. The little puny birds started then pecking at his feet, when they came to the last one they then realized wait were gonna go flying in the air. Well it was to late and they went flying. I also realized that at the end of their film it was a lot of people on the credits. I mean who would have thought that it took that many people to make a short film. Most of the other short films we watched only had one person make them. This particular Pixar film was the best out of the ones we watched.

Do students need a liberal arts education?

So in my English class were writing a paper on do we think students need a Liberal Arts Education. I'm choosing this topic because I'm in intro to DMA which has nothing to do with what I want to major in but its very interesting to see what people that major in this particular major have to deal with. I personally think having a liberal arts education wont hurt you but will only help you to prepare you for many fields in today's society. If you come out of high school knowing what you want to do and you only need them two years of college to get you into that particular field of work you do by all means you do it. I personally don't think all students need a liberal arts education because like I said some kids come out of high school knowing what they want to do. But for others that are undecided in what they want to major in I would recommend a liberal arts school because it could get you to major in something that you thought you would never major in. So with that being said a liberal arts education is not for everyone.

Emptyness

The other day in class we watched a very interesting short film. The film started of just talking we could not see nothing, the lady was telling us she was living with a man inside of her so my mind instantly went to thing she was pregnant but this was not the case. The picture then became visible for us to see and she literally had a man inside of her. The lady went on saying how she would never complain about the guy she had inside of her because he was really nice. Then she steps outside her door and just see why she has to be thankful because her neighbor also had a guy inside of her but he was an alcoholic and was very mean. Then one morning she had woke up and the man inside her just up and left her. She said she felt EMPTY and sad that he was gone. The whole thing reminded me of relationships though because you can have domestic violence relationships which her neighbor had, or you can just have a relationship where the other half just walk out of. The whole clip made me feel like she was describing her and her neighbor relationships.

Happy Pagwa

The other day in class we watched a short film with a little girl who was very messy. Her parents tried to make this little girl really obedient and have the best of table manners but they couldn't. The parents then called her grandpa over who would for sure make her act right and have good table manners. Her grandpa then walks in the house and sits at the table and tries everything to get her to follow her table manners but instead he seen something that her parents didn't see.  That was that she was very creative and like to make a mess. So her granddad then took her to some place where they yell  happy pagwa and throw colors on one another. After they finished they went back home before her parents got their and was sitting at the table as if they been there all day. The moral of this short film is that you have to let a child be a child and they will follow all your directions, you cant just be hard on them all the time and expect them to be good because they are going to feel like they have to disobey.

The Breakfast Club

    The other day I finally watched the breakfast club and I can say it was a really good movie. First I'm going to fill you guys in in case you have not seen it. Basically its a movie where high school kids with totally different personalities get detention for some reason but with their different personalities you would expect them not to talk but they did the exact opposite they all came together as one at the end.

    The ironic part of this movie is that this friendship occurs in detention because in todays world because in todays society you cant even look at someone without getting cursed out which is very sad. But the producer made a really good movie because it shows the viewers that a group of people can become friends no matter their personality it just takes them to try and get to know each other.

    I feel like the moral of the story is that you never know what will happen unless you step out of your comfort zone and actually get to know people and what their background are so you know what their story is.

College Life

I know we are suppose to blog about media but as I'm on my way to Milwaukee for a tournament I came up with the idea to blog about being a freshman in the college atmosphere. I can honestly say that the college life has been a big change for me because I'm use to being able to call my mom for everything. They weren't lying when they said that college makes you grow up and become your own individual. College has also pushed me to try a bunch of things and break me out my shell. I'm so proud I chose to come to Huntington University over Indiana Tech because not only are the people at Huntington University are great but the university has brought me closer to god in a way that I cant explain. The college life is also very demanding because at home you have your parents over your back telling you what to do but at college you have to step up to the plate and do what you think is right. Its very difficult juggling being and athlete and school but that's where making the right choices come from because sometimes I put my sport before school but I'm getting a lot better by being able to balance both.
