Good Morning, Vietnam

I recently watched Good Morning, Vietnam starring Robin Williams as an unorthodox radio DJ that gets into trouble for almost everything he says. Robin Williams stars as and Airman Second Class Adrian Cronauer, who goes to Vietnam to do a radio show for the soldiers there fighting in the war. Cronauer is really different from the rest of the radio personalities that are there and have been there before him, and because of that the men who control the radio station don´t like him. One does not approve of what he is doing and the other does not think he is funny, the only one who does.  Cronauer falls for a Vietnamese girl, who seems to not like him the same, Cronauer tries to get close to her by befriending her brother, and by taking over the English speaking class she is taking.

Robin Williams brings a really funny persona to the character, and by that I mean that every radio show he does in the film is entirely improvised by him. The story is really good, but it is always Robin Williams who stands out. The film is base on a true story but according to the real Cronauer, the film is only 45% accurate. Cronauer says that if he would have done half of what Williams does in the movie, he would have been court-martialed and sent to Fort-Leavenworth. Which makes sense because a lot of the things Cronauer does in the movie is done to make the movie more exciting.
