Super Size Me

One documentary that I have seen is Supersize Me. This documentary is about a man named Morgan Spurlock who decides to eat McDonald’s for every meal (3 times a day) for one whole month. He goes to multiple doctors before he does his experiment and they all say that he is in very good health. He continues to go to the doctors for check ups throughout the month, and his health begins to go down hill rapidly. He gains about 30 pounds, has very high blood pressure, chest pain, high cholesterol, and no energy. His girlfriend throughout the video constantly encourages him to quit doing the experiment because his mood changes so drastically. In the documentary, Spurlock threw up while eating McDonald’s within the first few days because he was putting so much toxic crap into his body. Another catch to his experiment was that whenever the cashier asked him if he wanted to supersize the meal, he had to say yes. Spurlock would discuss throughout the film that he would feel depressed and terrible until he ate his next meal, then he was on a high for a little while. The high did not last long before his energy dropped and he felt sluggish and depressed all over again. This documentary is extremely informative and very interesting to watch.
