One music video that I really like and find extremely touching is Just a Dream by Carrie Underwood. This song is about a young wife,
who is only 18, and loses her husband who is a soldier. In the music video, it
begins with Carrie in a car with her soldier husband and they are talking about
what it would be like if he had to leave for war. The music video then shows
Carrie in a wedding dress walking down the aisle, reminiscing on her wedding
day. Then Carrie’s dress slowly begins to fade to black and she is at her
husband’s funeral. The music video is extremely touching because you could tell
how in love the couple was and how heartbroken Carrie is by the loss of her
soldier. I really enjoy this music video because of the emotion portrayed and
the sentimental value that it has. Here are some of the lyrics
that are very touching:
“Baby,
why'd you leave me, why'd you have to go
I
was counting on forever, now I'll never know
I
can't even breathe
It's
like I'm looking from a distance,
Standing
in the background
Everybody's
saying, he's not coming home now,
This
can't be happening to me
This
is just a dream”.
