Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is a Netflix show that is based off of a comic book character.  Jessica was once a hero named Jewel.  She was gifted with super strength which also allows her to jump really high.  This all changed quickly when she first came in contact with the purple man.

The purple man is a villain who releases a pheromone into the air to take control of people’s mind.  His pheromone creates a super powerful influence that makes people do whatever he wants as long as they are in range.  He uses his power to give himself pleasure and ensures that no matter what he does his existence remains unknown.  When he met Jewel he immediately fell in love with her and abused her in the most horrendous ways possible.

The purple man raped her, tortured her, and forced her to commit murders.  The most unfortunate part of the pheromone is that everyone contains the memories of what they’ve done.  So everything that the purple man did to Jessica was permanently drilled into her brain but she had no control of her body.  So when she got the opportunity to escape she took it.

The Netflix show takes place after she had escaped and made what little of a life she could for herself.
