Music Part 1: Glowing Eyes

Since I hadn't gotten to talk about music and music videos when the topic was fresh, I'll do it now.

One of my favorite artists is twenty one pilots (spare the groans and listen up), and one of my favorite songs by them is "Glowing Eyes", off their second album Regional At Best. When you first listen to it, it has a peppy beat, but you'd be wrong if you think it's a happy song. Hell, the third line of the song is "We have romantic fantasies about what dying truly is". In short, "Glowing Eyes" is more or less about knowing the right way to go about life and exist peacefully, but wanting to stay with your demons anyway and entertain them. It's irrational, stupid, and all too real for anyone suffering any type and severity of mental illness.

Because of how this song affects me, one lyric in particular, I made a drawing relating to the song some time ago.

"We all know somebody who knows somebody who's doing great,
I know some people who know people who are flying straight,
But I'll kindly enter into rooms of depression,
While ceiling fans and idle hands will take my life again."
