Galaxy Quest

After watching watching shows like Stargate SG-1 and Star Trek I figured watching Galaxy Quest would almost really make fun of the genre entirely, but it instead it really brought out what the Sci-fi genre is all about within this parody.

The main characters of this movie play a cast of crew members aboard a starship, when they are actually taken away from Earth and have to face what they have always played in their show, but for real. Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, and Allan Rickman really bring out some hilarious performances as the crew and really bring together the strangeness of being a part of a cast of a cult sci-fi hit.

It really brings out the life of those who may be involved in that industry and it sometimes makes me feel a little bad. I can't imagine what the cast of Star-Trek had to go through when it came to going to conventions and what it was like to have every moment of their career tested by their fans.

The movie overall is a hilarious representation of the industry is like and what it means to be involved in them. I really appreciate all of the performances that were put on because all of them are so honest.
