When I was in fourth grade, I was able to present my first
Bible lesson. I had been bugging my
youth pastor at the time for a long to give me the chance to do a Bible lesson
and I finally got the opportunity.
Looking at the faith I had when I was that age, I was just in love with
God and I was so passionate about Him.
When I think of that faith, I wish my faith could be that strong
again. The story that I did my lesson
about was the story of Lazarus and how he was raised from the dead. I had an activity prepared and I made sure to
rehearse the story as much as I could at home because I was teaching the story
to first through fifth graders. So I
wanted to be sure to not mess up. Since
that day on, my youth pastor has told me that one day, I will be a pastor. I still believe that might be a possibility
but I am not sure. I love my major now
but I would still love to learn more about the Bible. It is hard to know what God wants from you
sometimes. I know that one day, He will
tell me very clearly what he wants me to do.
