And yes, it is as cheesy as it sounds.
Though, cheesy doesn't mean bad. It's geared more towards a younger audience but was still fun for me to play. The characters were lovable and goofy, The boss fights were curious puzzles and required some genuine creative thinking at times and combat was wonky, completely nongraphical and fun . I really enjoyed playing.
And, it was a great co -op game. I have young cousins, all under the age of ten, and it was nice to have a game that that I could play with them and have no reservations about it. It was just a blast of funny jokes and ninjas. Square Enix nailed the game and I really hope we start seeing more kid focused, older person friendly games in the future.
