Bojack Horseman is about a Hollywood movie star who has outlived his short career and now lives day to day without anything on his plate. Bojack is a deeply fractured character as he tries to live out his fame which has clearly influenced him in a negative way. His star role from his acting career was a show called "Horsin Around", which is sitcom based around the character adopting three children and having misadentures with them. Bojack, after this breakthrough, never was really able to get his career back on track mostly because he was not taken seriously by his peers which is something he still struggles with during the present. Bojack now has filled his life with drinking and being lazy to fill his lack of fame and to waste his fortune. Bojack is facing an absurdist dilemma of having no real meaning and his life and no real reason to live. He does not believe in God and refuses to do anything to better himself, because he is self destructive. Bojack lives in a world made up of his own fantasy and it's slowly bringing Bojack to his downfall. The story that is presented really tells about the destructiveness of an empty industry and how we may be able to learn from Bojack as a whole to be able to find purpose and live in a happier state.
