Awaken My Love

Childish Gambino's new album Awaken My Love has been quite a change from his usual style of music. Awaken My Love has been an incredible ride of funkadelic music that really highlights the talent and artistic ability of Gambino and what he is able to do with his work. Much of the album consists of Gambino talking about his life and how it has been affecting him, and there are certain messages he wishes to spread. Some of the songs are about Gambino's child coming into the world and what he wishes for him and  what Gambino is thinking about in his life right now. The album really represents change in the life of Gambino especially with the success of his T.V. show and his casting as Lando in the Han Solo movie that will be coming out. It's really spectacular to see an artist like this express himself in this way because it is both entertaining and really brings insight to what Gambino is feeling and or facing in his life right now. With the change from rapping, Gambino is really making art that reflects what life means to him right now, and what is going on with him. His album is such a wonderful experience to listen to, and is a great step in Gambino's career.
