The Walt Disney company has created some of the best animated features
ever made. The first years Disney only made animated films, it wasn't until
years later that he would release his first live-action movie. The Disney
company still thrives on great animation films today, with films like Zootopia
and films they create with Pixar like Inside Out.
In recent years Disney has started remaking their old animation films
into live-action like Cinderella, Pete's dragon (originally a hybrid, both
live-action and animation) and moat recently Jungle Book. Jungle Book earned almost
a billion dollars at the box-office worldwide. With Jungle Book making so much
money they soon decided to make Lion King into live-action. Disney has a lot of
live-action remakes in the works that are planned to be released in the next
years to come.
People have mixed feelings about these remakes. Most probably think of
them as easy money for Disney and some think that now that they have the
technology to make them live-action that it would be fun to see a new take on
them today. Of course the movies are easy money but it's also fun to see
updated version of some of these old films. But this has to have limit, some
movies they are planning are movies this generation is still watching and still
love as it is, like Lion King. For me the film I mostly don't want remade into
live-action is Winnie the Pooh, for me I think that the characters can't look
right when they are CGI.
No matter what we feel about them they are still coming. Few movies that
are coming out soon are, Lion King, Mulan, Beauty and the Beast and the Little
Mermaid
It's going
to interesting to see how well these films will turn out.
