And I'm a Film Major

I like ALL of the Star Wars Films.

I’ve never seen one full Harry Potter movie (or picked up one of the books).

Not that into Lord of the Rings.

They should never stop making Fast & Furious movies.

Haven’t seen half of the movies that “everyone has seen”.

And I’m a film major.  Oops.

Here’s the thing, I’m ignorant.  I don’t like what everybody (or most people) like.  I don’t get the jokes because I haven’t seen the movies or shows.  I like what I like.  I love movies, and I can’t tell you why I haven’t seen any Harry Potters, but I can tell you that I’ve enjoyed watching movies like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty or Now You See Me.  Sure, you’ve probably heard or seen them, it’s not like they are hidden.  The thing is, they aren’t huge franchises that everybody has seen.  And I love some huge franchises.  I love Star Wars; I love the MCU.  I am just ignorant to some films and it’s because they just do not interest me.  There was actually a time that I was proven wrong for being ignorant to a film series and that was The Hunger Games (I still haven’t read one of the books though). 

                So maybe I need to be proven wrong again, we’ll see.
