Instead of me doing one individual song this time (I know ughhh another song can't he just stop) I'm going to do an EP (Not a single but not a whole album). The EP I'm going to focus on is "The Misfit Generation". This is an introduction to each of the people in the group.
The 2 guys that make up The Social Club Misfits: Marty the energetic, funny, goofy rapper that is usually the first voice you here in each song and Fern the grittier, burlier, more serious rapper that is the second rapper that you here, are both from Florida.
Marty on one hand as I said is very energetic with his lyrics talking about how he has a beautiful wife and he shouldn't have her because he's "not as pretty as the populars" and funny with his lyrics: “I said you look like Alien, because my heart is bursting, You never got the reference” and also “I should invest in a vest ‘Cause if we have a girl, the first boy I see I'll probably kill him! (sorry)” which are both in the song “Marriage Goals”
Now Fern has a grittier voice and he is also inspirational with lyrics like: “To me this song is more than lines because I could've died like four times, but I didn't so I know there's a plan”.
I love that group of lyrics because it’s so relatable because if you know the complications surrounding my birth and how many surgeries I’ve had, it’s hard to think about how those could have played out.
