Formation Experiments
For my Bib Hit Lit class, every week we do these things called Formation Experiments. The experiments are to be performed for 48 hours, and are to challenge you in some way, shape, or form. These Formation Experiments are based off of virtues and their corresponding vices. For example, one week we will have a Formation Experiment on the virtue of patience. Then the next week we will have a Formation Experiment on it's corresponding vice.
I remember the first experiment we had to do was to not look in the mirror for 48 hours. Being a dude, the only problem I had with this was brushing my hair in the morning, which I somehow pulled off. If I were someone who absolutely needed the mirror in the morning to get ready, this could have been extremely difficult. And that's the point, they are to challenge you.
I thought I'd share my thoughts on these because they have helped me grow and be more conscious about the way I go about my daily life. Some of them make me realize that I need to fix something or I'm not going about some situations the right way, and I feel like they are really beneficial to me personally. Those of you who have Bib Hit Lit know what I mean. Some of the experiments are freaking hard, and all of them challenge me in some way.
