Stargate SG-1

Stargate SG-1 is the first TV show to be made as a sequel to the movie.  The main enemy is a race known as the goa’uld.  They are parasitic organisms who take control of human hosts, giving them supernatural healing abilities and strength.  Other distinctive factors are that the eyes of the host occasionally glow and their voice changes to a low echoing voice.  These goa’uld believe that they are gods and travel around the galaxy to exert their power over people.

The SG travels through the stargate to many different worlds to try and defend themselves and other worlds from this race.  The goa’uld have actually been on the planet before.  The ancient Egyptian culture was inspired by the goa’uld; the pyramids were based on the design of the ships, their highly advanced technology allowed them to play god.  This technology is advanced enough to allow them to control hundreds of planets.

The goa’uld want nothing but revenge against the SG team for previously killing the leader known as Ra.  The SG team travels around different planets not only defending civilizations but also discovering new ways of trying to defeat this new and powerful enemy.
