Tallulah -- is stealing a baby really okay?

Tallulah is one of those movies that makes you think “would I ever do this”.  In this movie the main girl is trying to make some money so she babysits for a woman that neglects her child. As you probably guessed, she stole the child and claimed it as her own. This got me thinking on is this morally okay. Many could justify yes, because the mother was neglecting the child and that is wrong. Then there’s yes neglecting your child is wrong but so is stealing a baby. I just think it’s funny how when it comes to children we often try to justify what’s best for the child whether it is a legal action or not. It’s like until they become a certain age it’s okay for you to do whatever it takes to protects that child whether it’s stealing clothes from a store so they are warm or stealing the baby from its mother.

I can’t say I know exactly where I stand on this issue but I do believe when it comes to doing what’s best for the kid, it should be legal. I don’t believe going against what’s legal is going to help the child at all. It just brings in more problems to the situation that wouldn’t have been there if they just did the right thing.
