This is one of the greatest movies that I have seen in a
long time. It was a truly heartfelt
movie that does not get old.
This movie starts out with a heartfelt scene of a mother fox
being hunted down. The mother leaves her
child by a fence post so that it may live while the mother sacrifices
herself. The fox is adopted by an old
widowed farmer who names the fox Tod. Later
we meet a hound named copper who was bought by a hunter who lives near the
widow’s farm. Eventually Tod finds his
way onto the hunter’s property and meets copper. This begins an unlikely friendship between a
hunting dog and a fox.
Everything is going fine until the hunter goes after
Tod. The widow was able to protect Tod
from being turned into a skin by the hunter.
The hunter then takes Copper on a hunting trip to train him. Tod and Copper have not seen each other for a
long time and have grown up. However, in
that time they have changed quite a bit.
Copper has now become a true hunting dog.
These old friends have to learn how to once again become
friends.
