Finding Dory was a fantastic movie that complimented the
prequel pretty well. However, I
understand why many people recommended that foster children be very wary of
watching this movie. Everyone who has
seen Finding Nemo knows that Dory suffers from short term memory loss. But towards the end of Finding Nemo Dory’s
memory begins to improve.
Moving on to the Finding Dory Movie, Dory begins to remember
her family and makes it her top priority to find them. Nemo and Marlin agree to help her since they
know how important family is. They
travel across the ocean once again to discover that her parents are in an
aquarium. While in the aquarium Dory
makes a new friend named Hank, an octopus who wants to leave. In return for Hanks help in finding Dory’s
parents, Hank gets Dory’s help in escaping.
As the search for Dory’s parents goes on, she begins to
remember different childhood experiences that her parents used to try and help
Dory’s condition. These very experiences
are what helped Dory remember where her parents were and how to get there. Eventually Dory does find her family from the
few memories that she could remember.
