Almost every girl that I know has heard of Nicholas Sparks. Anytime my girl friends and I have a movie night, we always say, “lets watch a Nicholas Sparks movie”. In my opinion, the man is a genius. He has made countless movies and has so many books that all basically have the same story line. A man and woman meet and fall in love, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to be with each other. The circumstances surrounding the two people are different in each movie and book, but love is always the main connection. Even though the movies are almost always the same and have the same endings, people are still obsessed with each movie and book he has ever written. Nicholas Sparks understands that people want to watch feel good movies that give hope and the possibility of love, despite two people’s circumstances. Almost every guy I’ve ever met strongly dislikes Nicholas Sparks because they feel like they have to live up to unrealistic expectations. I always laugh at this because I agree. I understand that love is not like it is in the movies, but I still like watching the movies anyway. The beauty of love and relationships is what makes people remember Nicholas Sparks and his movies.
