When I was growing up, one of my favorite movies to watch
was “Holes.” This was one of the movies
that really made Shia LaBeouf’s career sky rocket. He played such a big role in this movie and
did a great job! This movie is about a
kid who grew up in a city that had a lot of crime in it and was a part of a
family who was trying to figure out a recipe to make shoes not stink. This kid’s name was Stanley. One day when Stanley was walking home, he was
coming out from walking under a bridge and a random pair of shoes hit him on
the head. He says in the movie that his
family is used to having bad luck and gives the audience plenty of examples of
why he thinks this. Stanley ends up
getting caught by the cops and is convicted of stealing the shoes. These shoes also were signed by a famous
baseball player and the baseball player donated these signed shoes to help
raise money for a group home. Stanley
was sent to a camp for convicted juveniles and the kids dug holes all day out
in the hot sun. While the kids and the
courts think that they are digging the holes to teach the kids a lesson, the
people who own the camp came up with this idea to see if the kids can find
anything special.
