Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (or, Old Men can be devious) ~ Coby Solms

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith is the 3rd film in the Prequel Trilogy and the 6th in production order. It’s probably my second favorite of the seven films released so far. Also, the opening sequence is one of the most stunning in a visual aspect.

If you haven’t already guessed, this film revolves around Anakin Skywalker. Anakin and Obi-Wan are engaged in a large space battle over the Coruscant System, trying to rescue Chancellor Palpatine. Long story short, General Grievous (basically the coolest looking character... he’s a robot with four Lightsabers!) shows up and causes problems for the Chancellor and the two Jedi. Grievous escapes, the cruiser crash lands on the landing strip, and Anakin is praised for saving the Chancellor. Padmé secretly confesses she’s pregnant to Anakin, he’s overjoyed, and she’s scared out of her mind. Anakin and Palpatine become really good pals, eventually leading to Anakin pledging his allegiance to Palpatine (who claims he can help Anakin save Padmé from dying and he’s been playing both sides for 3 movies… GASP) and the Dark Side of the Force (Sith Order). Anakin takes the name, DARTH VADER, all the Jedi across the Galaxy are slain except Obi-Wan and Yoda. Obi-Wan finds Anakin, chops him up because he’s a Sith now (and he murdered children at the Jedi Temple). Padmé gives birth to LUKE and LEIA and across the galaxy, Darth Vader (Anakin) gets his suit of robotic armor.

Moral of the story, don’t trust old men who promise you the power to save loved ones. He’ll just entice you, and let you fall into lava.
