Frank Castle, a soldier who saved
his entire squad, earned the purple heart, and then released to spend his time
with his wife and young daughter.
Everything seemed to be going good for Frank at the start until the day
his family got in the middle of a gang fight.
Both his wife and his daughter were killed in the crossfire. From then on he became known as The Punisher. A vigilante who starts going after gangs
without any discretion or mercy. He is a
one-man army both with and without a weapon; he has gunned down a squad of gang
members, and taken down a large group of released prisoners.
Frank Castle is eventually caught
and is sent through a court trial. The
devil of Hell’s Kitchen, Daredevil, takes on Castle’s case as the lawyer known
as Matthew Murdock. Murdock has a near
impossible chance to help Castle with the long list of serious crimes that he
brings with him. Many people consider
him a murderer and have serious issues with Castle’s methods; others don’t necessarily
agree with his methods but feel that he is doing the right thing. What doesn’t
help Frank’s case is that he openly proclaims that he does not regret any of
his actions which gives him no chance with the judge and jury.
Since everyone knows that Castle is
guilty, all that Murdock can do is try to shorten Castle’s sentence. The entire season is revolving around Murdock’s
team doing everything they can to help Castle.
