I went back to watch the Small Hands music video a couple times, and let me just say, it gets more emotional each time. The question hit me hard as a watched it on repeat, is love worth the pain of loss? Everybody dies, that is obvious, but we need to decide on if loving is worth the pain that is to come when your loved one leaves the Earth. I think Keaton is struggling with that answer. Any viewer can tell that he is a hurting man because of his loss. The lyrics that hit home were "And I, hope for your life, you forget about mine, forget about mine." In my opinion, love is definitely worth the pain to follow. Life is too short to hold anything back. Love with everything inside of you, or you are going to regret missed opportunities. Let me quickly hit on if I think you should share your pain and troubles with other people. A million times yes. We are social human beings and we need comfort. Some battles are too powerful to take on alone. Loss is something that could eat someone alive if they handle it with isolation. Open up to people. Be vulnerable. This life is too difficult to take on alone. Isn't Winnie the Pooh adorable?
