Yet another instant Disney classic, Tangled is far superior to its follower Frozen. While others will disagree, Tangled arguably is one of the better new movies of the Disney reboot era.
Rapunzel, a young girl with magical hair with healing qualities suddenly goes on an adventure to see the "floating lights" (lanterns that her parents, the king and queen, set off in hopes that she will return) . She requests the help of a thieving vagabond Flynn Rider to help her and bring her back safely. In typical Disney fashion, there are many comical moments, hidden humor for the older crowd, and the romance that inevitably comes.
This simple little movie tugs on all the heart strings. It manages to get audiences cheering when Rapunzel and Flynn fight and win, cry when Mother Gothel stabs Flynn, and rejoice when she saves him yet again. This reboot of Disney movies has brought some of the better movies that the franchise has seen, but Tangled is one of the best. This movie plays on all the emotions of viewers and causes all audiences to examine where they think they belong and then the true cause of their inner happiness and the outward happiness that we find when we go out into the world and communicate with each other.
