Jeremy Lin's struggle

A couple nights ago I read an article on Jeremy Lin, an NBA basketball player who has had a very rough career since joining the NBA in 2010. In 2012, while playing for the New York Knicks, Lin was promoted to the starting line up and helped to turn the Knicks season around. It was in this year Lin coined the term "Linsanity" when dropped 38 points to beat Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. After this season Lin was traded around for a couple years before winding up at Los Angeles (which I found totally ironic). Lin was then benched not as a backup, but as a backup's backup. Lin was not happy about this at all. He felt like he had gone full circle, not playing to starting and now three years later not playing again.
However, Lin never gave up on becoming player that could contribute to the team, and so he kept at it. Then in march 2015 he finally got his shot when Kobe was out with an injury, Lin was moved to a starting spot. He then went on to score a season high of 29 points. Through hard work and determination Lin was able to prove to the world that just because people aren't grateful to you in the beginning, by overcoming all the negativity in the world, you can reach your goals no matter what people tell you.
