In this reading it references a lot on going back and seeing
Jesus’ point of view and what preaching on the gospel was. They quoted, “Be
silent and know that I am God” to acknowledge the fact that the preacher must
speak his mind and show that there is darkness and there is light. He must acknowledge
all parts and let the people know that God is there. That life is a pitiless
storm and that we are vulnerable… “not just in the sense that youth grows old
and beauty fades but in the sense that the youth and beauty themselves are vulnerable.”
That we as humans get caught up in our heads and forget why we are here on this
earth. We continue to think and believe of the fear of death and forget that
God is the one who opened the eyes of the blind man and kept him from dying. That
we lose our faith through the material ideas and forget what the preacher
teaches is truth about our lies and with good understanding will lead us out of
the darkness.
