I found that film rather trippy. It was like “Doctor
Doolittle” meets “Looks Who’s Talking.” I really did not see it coming having
Hank being an actual dog. But looking back it makes sense. I initially thought
he was just an insecure ADD person, especially when he jumps up at a random
neighbor walking by. But now, I see he is representing the dog’s position in a
relationship involving two others. The poor dog is a third wheel. It was
interesting when Hank wanted to get rid of Richard. And the vacuum cleaner. At
first, it seems like the woman is having an affair with someone half her age.
And perhaps the vacuum was a gift from Richard, and Hank wants to get rid of it
because he knows it is a way of saying Richard owns the woman. The good thing is
Hank is really devoted to protecting the woman, even from a random stranger. And
to top it off, Hank proposes to the woman with a chewed up toy duck. I found it
suspicious about he would propose with a chewed up toy. When it was revealed that Hank was a dog, it
was like a proposal from dog to person. It was very ingenious overall. I
recommend to keep showing it.
