The bunny and the moth

Bunny is a short from 1998 produced by Blue Sky Studios (the company that makes all the Ice Age films), it was created by Chris Wedge and it earned an Academy Award for best short.

Bunny is a beautiful and emotional animated short. The short follows a female bunny who is baking but keeps getting interrupted by a large moth. The bunny tries to get rid of the moth peacefully, making it fly away. After the moth is gone the bunny fixes the photo on the wall which shows her and her husband on their wedding day. This is a clear nod to the fact that her husband has passed away
. While trying to finish baking the moth returns and the bunny eventually throws it into the oven. The short ends with the bunny crawling into the oven and flying towards a bright light in space.

I felt it was quite clear that the bunny died in her sleep, and that when she crawls into the oven and goes towards the light that is her accepting the fact that she is dead, and by showing the picture again of her and her husband embracing is a clear nod to the fact that they are finally reunited again in death.
