Video Games

Over the last coupe weeks we have briefly talked about video games in class as an art form. While this is true, I would also like to point out that video games can be used in several other forms as well. For example video games can help people improve their hand eye coordination. Now many of you will probably doubt this and maybe and even make fun of me, but to each their own. Video games however, can help you improve your hand eye coordination, but this isn't something your going to be able to do once and have it help an insane amount. It works much like much like anything else would to improve your coordination, and that is through practice. Much like through sports, video games will need to be played more often in order for you to notice any kind of improvement. However, because video games require a quicker reaction, this practice will take shorter intervals than sports would require. Video games also can drastically improve your reaction time to things. Like when a ball is thrown at you, you first must see the ball and process what is going on. If you can not do this, no matter how athletic you are, you will not be able to respond to the ball and either catch it or get out of the way. Therefore, fast paced video games such as Call of Duty are great games to help improve ones coordination.
