Destiny: Year 1

Destiny was officially released in September 2014 and quickly became one of the most popular FPS games across Xbox and Playstation consoles. One of the best features of this game was the integration of multiplayer options across all game modes, allowing for gamers to play with fireteams of 2 other friends or 5, depending on the game mode. The game also introduced a variety of story lines with the Dark Below and House of Wolves DLC. This allowed for more maps, more gameplay, and best of all: more weapons. It was fairly simple for players to reach level 34 and max attack levels for all weapons. It also introduced raids for fireteams of 6 players to take on a series of enemy attacks, intricate defensive modes, and the classic "jumping puzzles" that all Destiny raids include. Destiny also allowed players to choose between Titan, Warlock, and Hunter classes which allowed for the player to choose how they wanted to play the game, depending on what best suited them. Pvp modes allowed players to face one another and test their skills in the Crucible, which included many different game modes and maps. Destiny set the bar for graphics and amazing imagery in their release and for the first year, proved to be an exciting and fun game that you could play for hours.
