Destiny: The Taken King

Destiny Year 2 offered a new set of challenges and excitement to those who already were enjoying Destiny in Year 1. The biggest and most anticipated addition, was that of 3 new subclasses:one for each class. Titans received a solar hammer, warlocks a stormcaller lighting chain, and hunters received a void bow to tether enemies. Along with new subclasses came a new raid and map on the Dreadnaught. The Kings' Fall Raid proved to be very intricate and took many hours to complete unless you had a superb fireteam. It offered a lot of new weapons and armor, and proved to be quite exciting but caused a lot of frustration to players after the release of the Heroic difficulty, leaving many players scrambling for help in the raid or quitting altogether. The Taken King also introduced Light Level and Artifacts, two new major adjustments that added new perks to players and dictated how powerful the player was, as well as what missions and game modes they could participate in. Overall, the Taken King proved to be a good but challenging addition to Destiny, despite controversy over its "redeem code" release instead of a disc, annoying many players and setting a precedent of what was to come in the gaming world.
