John Carter

Last week I watch the movie John Carter with my roommate. I enjoyed this movie as it took humanity and put an interesting twist in to it. The movie takes place mainly on Mars, which give is sort of based off the idea that life is sustainable on Mars. This idea has long been a popular idea among scientist. However, I really liked the idea of aliens and aliens that look like humans, in my opinion this is a neat way of looking at how life could exist else where. The movie is also started in a story like way, to a nephew who is called to receive his uncle's will. However, when he gets there his uncle actually needs him to figure out how to open a tomb, but really his uncle is just using him as bait for a bigger goal. This is how John gets back to Mars and his second wife. While on Mars, because of the gravity John is able to do things that depict him as this super hero like figure. He is able to jump tall building in a single leap, and his physical strength is much greater than if he was on earth...either that or the people on Mars are much more fragile than those on earth.
