I was never a fan of classical music...until I discovered the Piano Guys. Their music videos are nothing short of beautiful and I love watching them. Many of them are fairly simple - Jon and Steven playing their piano and cello in a beautiful landscape somewhere. But every video captures the very essence of what makes the Piano Guys such a success: music is their life, and they love being able to share it with you. Maybe it's just me, but with lots of music videos coming out lately, you don't get the sense that the artist is trying to share a significant part of their life with you. I feel like they're just trying to sell me something. Many of these videos are relatively simple, though some do demonstrate brilliant technical skill, but either way, these videos come across as very humble. The creative choices behind the making of their videos perfectly complement the music, from where the video is filmed to what filter is applied is post production. Visually, these films are stunning, but at the end of the day, it's all about the music.
