My Favorite Music Videos - Part 1: "Weird Al" Yankovic

Weird Al in "Tacky"
Warning: Cringe-worthy taste in clothes
I'm not necessarily going to say that these are great pieces of art, but as a consumer of media, Weird Al's music videos are probably my favorite things on Youtube. Most music videos done by parody artists are pretty poorly made. They're shot on someone's phone and just sort of thrown together one afternoon. But Weird Al...You never know what to expect from Weird Al. His videos are all different styles to suit the song he's created, (in some cases, his music video is even a parody of the other artist's video) and it's obvious that some real, creative thought went into the process. His video for "Mission Statement" (a song composed entirely of corporate buzz words) is animated just like those hand-drawn-whiteboard-business self-help videos.
Weird Al "Mission Statement"
Whether it's live action or animated, his videos are always well done. My favorite live action video is "Tacky" (top) which was filmed in one continuous camera motion, starting on the roof of a building, going through several rooms, down the elevator, and ending in the alley below. Maybe this is just me, but I like seeing people being smart about being silly.
