Music Videos Bring Music to Life

This past class we talked about music videos, and watched a few. I love music videos; this form of media is one of my absolute favorites.  I believe music is one of the most powerful things in this world.  Music videos give the artist an opportunity to make their song come to life, and express the music visually which I think is amazing. 

         The cool thing about music videos is they don’t have rules.  You may have this extremely hardcore metal song but sometimes the music video doesn’t depict that, it might be something totally opposite.  The cool thing is, people will accept it because you can’t tell the artist or band or whatever what they were thinking when they wrote the song.

          We watched some music videos in class and I’ll tell you, I didn’t like them that much.  I don’t know, I guess it was because that’s not my type of music and they just didn’t grab my attention.  I’m sure plenty of people enjoyed them.  I actually enjoyed the last one about Iceland and the only reason was because the landscape was so cool and the scenery was so beautiful it grabbed my attention. 

          So yeah, didn’t really connect with the music videos shown in class, but definitely have a love for them.  Music is this sort of magical thing that can connect every person no matter who they are.  Music videos can help that connection, and bring life to music, which is one of the coolest things ever.
