Kevin Durant part 2

After Kevin's freshmen season at Texas, he decided to take his talents to the next level. He felt as if he had nothing left to prove in college, he was the player of the year. The biggest reason Durant left for the NBA was because his mother was still living in the projects and he wanted to help out his biggest supporter. Durant was selected with the second overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft by the Seattle Supersonics. The first pick, Greg Oden, turned out to be a big time bust. In November, he made the first game-winning shot of his career in a game against the Atlanta Hawks. At the end of the season, he was named the NBA Rookie of the Year.
