When I was
searching through Netflix to try and find a good movie, I discovered the movie,
My All-American, and it sounded like
a very interesting story. The main
character, Freddie, is an undersized football player with dreams of playing at
a well-known Division 1 school and then playing in the NFL. His work ethic is outstanding and he has
broken school records on basketball and football as only a junior and going
into his senior year, he badly wants to get an offer from a college. However, all the colleges he wants to go to
think that he is too small. The story is
amazing and only gets better from here.
With this
being a true story, the directors did a great job to incorporate all parts of
Freddie’s life into the movie. The movie
was so inspirational and I could watch it again and enjoy it. The way that the producers created the plot
and wrote the script was outstanding.
The characters did a fantastic job and helped the viewer to stay
involved and not turn off the movie. I
didn’t turn my head from the television many times. The movie was such an inspiration to me and I
got that if you bust your butt, you can achieve anything you want to
achieve. There were multiple times
throughout the movie that Freddie was put down and was talked to as if he was nothing,
but he kept fighting to get better and achieve his goals.
At the end
of the movie, while playing for the University of Texas, he helped his team win
a national championship and would play in the Cotton Bowl three weeks
later. However, his leg had been hurting
and when he went to the doctor it turned out to be ….
I’ll let
you watch the movie yourself to find out what happens. I loved the movie and would give it a 9/10
and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
If you don’t like sports that much, there is some romance in there for
you romance lovers. This was a great
inspirational movie.
