Fast Cars & Family

I was reading through some of the blogs and someone posted about Fast & Furious and how it was one of their favorite movie series.  It then made me realize that I haven’t blogged on any of my favorite movies or anything.  So, guess what’s the at the top of the list? That’s right, Fast & Furious.

I’m terrible at summarizing things so I’m not even going to try, mostly because there are 7 movies and an 8th in the making. (Shut up, I can’t wait and I don’t care what you think).  I love the Fast series because even though one of the main points of the movies are cars, throughout the films it creates these characters.  And these characters, you get invested in them, and they build a relationship with each other.  The theme of the movies is no longer about just cars and racing and all that, it is about family.

It's funny because from the very first film they start building these relationships and bonds between characters.  And throughout the series you get invested in the characters and their relationship with the other characters.  When tragedy hits in the movies, and, unfortunately in real life, you are heartbroken.  You can feel the pain of the other characters and are literally on an emotional rollercoaster, when on the surface you’re just watching a movie about cars.

That is cool.
