"Before We Go" Review: Part 1

Summary: A young house wife (Alice Eve) finds herself stranded in Grand Central Station when her purse is stolen as she’s trying to buy a train ticket home. She runs into a 30-something year old musician (Chris Evans) who’s trying to decide whether to go to a nearby bar and visit with an ex that he hasn’t seen in 5 years. The two wanderers form a special sort of comradery and end up attending the bar party, acting like a couple. When the musician finds out his ex is engaged, he quickly leaves the party with his newly found friend. He pours out his heart to the stranger only to realize she’s enduring a similar heartbreak. Her husband spent the last several months cheating on her. She left him a note the previous day, saying she wanted a divorce. She planned for him to read it when he returned home from a business trip. The night she left their house, she read through her husband’s emails and learned that he had been denying his mistress of affection because his marriage was precious to him. In a panic, the wife attempted to scurry back home and destroy the note to save her relationship, but her belongings got stolen along the way.
